The logo creates a play between the negative and positive space, becoming a smartphone —using the symbolism of current technology and adaptability— and then the letter “G”, which is, of course, the first letter of the company name.
The bright color palette of blues with purple and orange accents invokes a playful, creative image. The vector illustrations used reinforces the sense of play as well as pulling in functional symbolism.
The landing page of the website invites the user to participate in a fun, exploratory way with hidden “Easter eggs” in the header objects that display pop-up messages. The very objects; a sailboat, hang glider and hot air balloon symbolize leisure time, subliminally telling the user that working with Genlack is worry-free as well as a really good time.
The tagline, “Uncommon Web” simply states that the work is customized, and therefore uncommon by design.
